McFly's Dougie Teaching Frankie Sandford Guitar

Dougie Poynter from McFly has revealed that he is teaching his girlfriend, Frankie Sandford of The Saturdays, how to play guitar.

Dougie said that Frankie is "really good" so far, although he was quick to dismiss the idea of a collaboration, saying it wouldn't sound good.

"I'm teaching her how to play a bit of guitar," he told the Daily Mail. "She actually picks things up superquick and is pretty good."

"She wanted to learn how to play Kelly Clarkson's 'Since You've Been Gone' so I taught her. She's really good and can proper belt it out as well."

"It's awesome - but I don't think we'll release that. Me playing bass and her singing would not sound so good."  Although obviously happy in his relationship, Dougie admits that he can't understand why the media are so eager to cover it.

"I find it quite strange that people really care about my private life."    "This is really the first time it's happened since being in the band."  "We're both extremely normal people and very down-to-earth. We lead a fairly normal relationship asides from tour buses and being on TV," he added.
